Referring to your minute No. 53581/35 of

the 31st July addressed to Mr. Lamont, we were

Messrs. Waterlow Hons.

advised by him on the 12th July that, with the

exception of those for the various libraries,

the copies of Mr. Burney's Report on Education in

Hong Kong had been distributed on that day. We

now find, however, that the 50 copies for the

Colonial Office were, unfortunately, overlooked.

Messrs. Waterlow have expressed their regret for

the oversight and state that the copies were

delivered, addressed to you personally, this morning.
